"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Trump continues to push for the denial of Free Speech which is a First Amendment right under the US Constitution.
It would be interesting for someone to catalog just how many times that Trump's agenda violates the US Constitution.

(10,946 posts)right to violate his oath of office. If he does not want to protect and defend the US Constitution then he needs to step down.
Free Speech is one thing, violating an oath of office is totally different. He wants companies to fire employees because employees exercise their Constitutional right to free speech in a non-violent way. That would be termination without cause and a violation of the employees Constitutional rights.

(10,946 posts)Trump, the President, has made it clear that there is no 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech. By pushing that agenda, he is making it clear that he has no intention of protecting and defending the US Constitution. Therefore, he in fact, lied when he took his oath of office. Just like he routinely signed business contracts with no intent to abide by them, he never had any intention to abide by the oath of office he took. He committed a fraud on the American people which is absolutely no surprise to people who never drank the kool-aid.

(63,083 posts)But in this case, I'd say no. He hasn't enacted any legislation nor even signed one of his fucked up executive orders restricting players' rights, so I don't see how this particular example of his idiotic boorishness violates the 1st amendment.
