I mean, better late than never, but these people supported Trump until he criticized football players.

I'm in full support of taking a knee, but it's sad that a lot of these guys didn't notice or care that Trump is a jerk before this. Whatever.

Then Colin Kaepernick deserves a Nobel peace prize for being a catalyst that brings these knuckleheads to their senses.

You supported him when he said Mexicans were rapists

You supported him when he said "grab them by the pussy"

You supported him when he said "lock her up"

You supported him when said build the wall

You supported him when he said Muslims should be banned from the country

You supported him when he attacked the Khan family

You supported him when...

But going after your athletes? That's a step too far. Ok.

How self important and narrow minded so many of these people are. They are fine with boatloads of bigotry and hatred coming from Trump till they finally feel the impact of it hitting out at people they know personally.

I'm all for these kinds of people seeing the light - but they should also be asked to examine why they were fine supporting this turd ever.

Trump is a bigot and they were happy to support that bigotry until it was turned on people close to them. Pathetic.

'those (black) people', journalists, when he lead chants calling for imprisonment of Hillary Clinton and when used racist conspiracy theories to undermine Barack Obama's legitimacy as President of the United States, so fine that he donated huge sums of money and campaigned for the guy, but he is 'appalled' now that the attacks and insanity are directed at HIM and the people HE cares about? Rex Ryan and the rest of the NFL Trump supporters can f*ck all the off with their pearl clutching and crocodile tears now that their ugly monster has turned on them. They liked him fine when they were certain that only 'those people' were going to be insulted and attacked. Feels different when THEY are target. Pfffttt....

OMG, the expressions of every other analyst in the room when he is going on about how he supported Trump, so priceless.

Trump has been so obviously embracing white supremacy since the real estate lawsuits, his campaign around Obama's citizenship and his public assertions regarding the Central Park Five.

So when Ryan said that he didn't sign up for what Trump is espousing he wasn't credible to me.

Ryan is old enough to witness the opening of sports generally to people of color. He's old enough to understand the struggles of people to exercise their rights as citizens from before he was born.
