by Justin Baragona | 10:45 am, September 24th, 2017
This morning during the NFLs first game of the day, a bunch of players on both sidelines knelt during the national anthem while other players and Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan stood arm-in-arm. This came after two days worth of President Donald Trumps attacks on NFL players and Colin Kaepernick for protesting racial injustice on the playing field.
With Trump continuing those attacks this morning via Twitter, former White House advisor and current Fox News contributor Karl Rove pointed out that this issue appears to be a losing one for the president.
Noting that there are better ways for Trump to address this issue, Rove explained that the president should try to do more to make people want to stand in front of the flag and why they should do it, even if there are imperfections in Americas history. He then highlighted why Trump will lose on this issue.
-snip- (one sentence about more kneelings expected today)

Speaking against the status quo and injustice is another way to make this a better country. I heard to many red necks saying you don't have if you don't grovel over the 'flag' or the psychotic extremists. Groveling is very 'American' to me.

In EVERY OTHER parallel universe that exists, Donald Trump is a failed real estate salesman who is now trying his luck selling "opportunities" in a multilevel marketing scheme. He is sitting in a Denny's drinking a Coke and playing pull-tabs while he waits for his next mark to arrive. If the guy doesn't show up (and he won't; Trump doesn't know that the man's wife had a "talk" with him about it just a few minutes ago), then maybe, just maybe, Trump can sneak out without paying for the Coke. That worked last time.
