President Trump's son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner has used a private email account that was set up during the transition in 2016 to communicate with with other officials in the administration, according to Politico.
The Washington Post reported in May that Kushner and the Russian Ambassador to the U.S. had discussed setting up a secret communications channel between Trump's transition team and the Kremlin.

(81,220 posts)Also, there's another thread featuring lots of photos of Sarah Palin wrapping herself in the flag (and other cheap fashion desecrations of Old Glory). If Hillary had posed for any photos like that, she would have been crucified.

(13,081 posts)And Sarah Palin does love America. See, if you love America, wearing the flag is a sign of love. But if you only love America with your words and deeds and don't really love America*, then wearing flag clothing is worse than burning the flag.
*Please note that only Republicans can really love America, preferably white Republicans, and either Christian or wealthy (in the event of atheism, anti-Muslim bigotry is acceptable).
There IS a logic to them. Does it make any fucking sense? No. It's like whoever drew up their mental flowchart was drunk when she started and drunker when she finished. But there is definitely a predictable logic and a patterned thought process behind their bullshit.

(59,501 posts)As many noted, the rules on email have changed over time with rules becoming solidified. Ignoring the issue of whether things should be classified and therefore on secured lines only, the issue with Clinton using a private server for non classified work emails was that they were supposed to become part of the archive and available for FICA and Congressional requests. I don't know if the same oversight exists for Presidential advisers to the President. It is possible that it doesn't because I don't remember any demands for any of the emails for people like Ben Rhodes.
