You realize that all of us will be going to Church/Synagogue/Mosque or Temple weekly for 5 years if

It turns out that the "smoking gun" that details violations of NY State laws for laundering, etc, that puts Trump, his family and most of the administration into jail without the possibility of pardon was found in an email from Kushner's new private account.

God (Allah, JHWH, etc) may work in mysterious ways but if this is what sends them all to jail it shows that He/She has a wicked sense of humor and I for one will do what I have to show my appreciation.

Call it divine symmetry.

Now, if those emails not only contained enough information to get Trump indicted but also somehow managed to get the entire Bush administration sent to The Hague for war crimes tribunals? In that case, share the pew.

Otherwise it's just more Trump Family projection and hypocrisy. Also, emails don't count if you're a Republican, silly!

to criminalize the refusal to attend worship services weekly. It failed, of course, too many golfers in the AZ lege for that nonsense, but the foul mouthed knitters heard about it and founded the Church of Fuck You, Sylvia.

I won't get up before noon for it, but services are ongoing and feature lots of drinking and cussing and there isn't a Republican in the house.

In fact, there wasn't any ceremony. We woke up our friend, the pizza cook and notary public, passed him the jeans he'd left in his living room the night before, had his use his notary stamp, his girlfriend signed as a witness, another friend was the other witness, and that was it.

It's lasted for forty years and just over two months - I think it took.

But my uncle, the evangelical Baptist preacher, took exception to the no church part. He already had a hard time with my Mom converting to Presbyterian when she married Dad, and my three sisters marrying in the Presbyterian Church. So me not even having a religous ceremony put him over the edge. He never spoke to me or contacted me again.

That is OK - he is the reason I turned away from religion. He was the most racist, prejudiced asshole I met as a child and teenager. His irrational hatred of blacks and vile racist "jokes" made me re-examine all my preconceptions about religion. What he practiced made me dislike religion ever since.

It doesn't matter.....if the crooks end up in the slammer...I will go where they tell me to go.....
I am probably going anyway.....but, put them in jail, and as they say..........."I will be there"

As far as religion goes, I consider it as a way of maintaining hegemony, but I've got a deal with preople who feel different. I respect their right to believe in the sky god as long as they respect my right to see it as as childish nonsense. Seriously, I am good friends with Rabbis, Priests, Preachers, Catholics, Muslims and some others.
