A majority of players either kneel or lock arms in support of speech.
What a wonderful moment.

(31 posts)It's interesting that until the orange turd weighed in on this, most of the NFL hierarchy was against this while their ratings were plummeting. I'm left wondering how much opportunity is being seized vs. true protest.

(245 posts)I'm proud of the players and the stand they took. I'm proud of those who interlocked their arms together in a show of solidarity. I'm proud of those who kneeled and advocate for law enforcement to end the killings of people of color. I'm glad the NFL management spoke truth to power that dissent is patriotic and their athletes are not disrespecting but bringing attention to an issue.
I would be proud of the NFL when Kaepernick plays on an NFL team this year. And prouder when PSA advising children and parents that football should not be played until a child reaches a certain age.

Proud of the players. I see the NFL as seeing which way the wind is blowing and turning in that direction. That is, they are covering their butts with the players.
