Bills stadium worker quits after 30 years on the job because of team national anthem protests

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/bills-stadium-worker-quits-team-anthem-protests-article-1.3520012

"..."During the National Anthem…the song that is about our country, our veterans that fight and die for us, it's just something I feel you shouldn't disrespect that way," Nikischer said. "I believe people have the right to protest; I just don't believe that's the proper venue for it."

Nikischer posted a photo of himself leaving the stadium Sunday after he quit. He wrote "I can not work in a place where multi millionairs cry that they are oppressed..."

This guy is simply saying no, I will not allow anything in my atmosphere that doesnt put me first.

I suppose while he demands respect for the flag, we could easily find out that he disrespects it daily, like supporting a traitor.

All the "fought and died for us" stuff and even Key didn't mention the soldiers at Ft McHenry once in the verse we use for the anthem.

So, if one thinks it's about those who "fought and died" that's a figment of their own imagination.

He's named and pictured in uniform with a group of his fellow police officers who were getting service awards. That probably means his stadium job is only part time and likely he only works on actual game days, or he could very likely be a volunteer.

Sorry, I can't get the photo to show up, but here's the link.

“I can not work in a place where multimillionaires cry that they are oppressed...”

Apparently when middle class or poorer Americans bring up issues of social and income inequality no one gives a shit but when millionaire sports figures bring it up or get threatened all of a sudden it’s a big national issue all of a sudden.

Almost none of these people gave two shits about this issue last week and none of these people give a shit about the peoples of PR or USVI or the rest of the Caribbean, mostly people of color, either.

Talk shit about a person in the military or a professional sports figure and all of a sudden everyone becomes a social justice hero.

These particular millionaires are not crying that they are oppressed. Hell, I'm sure they're absolutely thrilled at their good fortune to be earning millions. One of them, the guy who started this whole thing, can't even get a job, and he just gave $1 million to the cause.

These particular millionaires, you dumbass, are calling attention to other who really are oppressed and, you know, dead. They want you to think, for just a minute, about the hundreds of African-Americans who are killed by police every year without any penalties. Heck, I'm sure they'd be pleased if you added in others who were shot and/or killed by police, like the autistic person a couple of years back or the deaf person just a few days ago or the LGBTQ woman with mental health issues last week. They want you to pay attention for just a minute to reality, and not the world presented to you by Fox News. Sadly, however, they know you won't give a fuck because you are white and they are not. Because you are white and the victims are not. Because you are white and the police are white.

Of course, there's probably more to your pathetic tale of leaving your job after 30 years. Retirement, maybe? Termination? Just fucking tired of making minimum wage and want to blame someone, preferably someone who's black?
