Michael Bennett was on with Anderson Cooper and explained that
some football players stood but linked arms because that is what they felt comfortable doing. He admired anyone who did anything to express themselves even if they were the only team member not in the lockeroom, but on the field during the anthem. Players got together and talked for hours about what they would do. Came up with everyone gets to decide for themselves what to stand, kneel, lock arms or salute the anthem.
Trump is the evil foil for all of America who want to get together. And it is catchy.
