Business Insider reports that a prankster posing as Jared Kushner emailed Kushners attorney, Abbe Lowell, and got him to open up about his clients use of a private email account to conduct official White House business.
The prankster emailed Lowell on Monday asking him for advice on what to do with emails sent from his private account that contained some correspondence featuring adult content.

I think one was forwarded from a White House official, we had discussed a shared interest of sorts, the troll responded. It was unsolicited. Then there are a handful more, but not from officials.
I need to see I think all emails between you and WH (just for me and us), Lowell replied. We need to send any officials emails to your WH account. Not stuff like you asked about. None of those are going anywhere.

(590 posts)Just a few weeks ago there were stories about WH officials getting trolled through email. And they are STILL falling for it!

(82,849 posts)Seeing stories like this, and the one from last week where Trump's lawyers were discussing confidential matters in the middle of a New York restaurant, are near-unassailable arguments that the Russians were in cahoots with the Trump administration. The Trump campaign needed some good, professional spies and hackers to compromise the Clinton campaign, and they weren't too choosy about who offered the assistance. The fact that the attorneys for this gang of incompetents are so easily gulled, so ready to give up their clients' secrets, is all the proof I need to confirm that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to ratfuck the Clinton campaign.

(63,199 posts)it just shows how easily foreign intelligence agencies can get information out of this administration. Even setting aside Trump's habit of broadcasting classified intel, all it takes is a semi-convincing email request and these disastrous fuck-ups will sing like canaries.
