Emails, the media and politics

I was watching Ari Melber's show and he spoke about the media's coverage of Hillary's emails to the one out about Jarred Kushner's emails now. And I just felt this sense of outrage that I just had to write about.

I supported Bernie Sanders in the Primary. I was a strong supporter. I guess that is why I feel I need to write about the recent story about Jared and Ivanka's email use while in the White House.

I do not have the deep emotional attachment and yet, I can say I feel deeply angry over the press and how they went after Hillary on her emails and yet, shrug over the Trump White House use of them.

I don't see breathless all day coverage.
I don't see Breaking New Headlines
I don't see anyone calling for Congressional Hearings
I don't see this garnering over a year of daily coverage and pretty much see the story fading by Thursday.
Hillary's email story was ginned up and made into the overwhelming biggest story of the campaign.

The majority of the people who did not vote for Hillary was because they thought her untrustworthy and a liar. Her emails played a huge role in why people would not vote for Hillary or switched at the last minute.

But, I am betting that the majority of people do not and will not know about those in Trump's White House doing the same thing.

We have an ignorant, psychologically damaged, immature, dangerous, corrupt criminal in the White House. We have his co horts helping him destroy government agencies, our country and our reputation.

And Hillary's emails is most likely the reason why.

Not so much her emails as the way the media covered her, the emails and kept this unspoken but, implied idea in people's heads that both Bill and Hillary Clinton were very corrupt people.

Not competent, capable, experienced people with a deep knowledge of the law and government and diplomacy. But, just basically very corrupt.

So, we get, instead, the person who is actually deeply corrupt, criminal and a constant liar. And also someone with no clue on how to run a country, the government, or how to deal with other leaders. Some who has more then just a bit of psychological problems.

Our country has been put in danger. Will lose its Standing and Reputation - already has. All because of the irresponsible, out of control and bias media.

So, yes. I am deeply angry.

We have Donald Trump as President today because the media has to take a minor oops of a problem and make it into a major, federal criminal issue and would not let it go or tell the truth about it.

There was no other reason Hillary lost. She lost thanks to our Traditional Media and it's continued dislike of the Clintons and ginning up the email story.

It doesn't feel like we really have a democracy if the media can choose who and how to cover the candidates. So instead of the best candidate, we got the candidate that garnered the most attention (mostly for negative reasons).
