Just last week I was assured that the senator certain people love to hate...forever...no matter what he does...was going to single-handedly bring down the ACA because he brought expanded Medicare forward into the national discussion. I was told that we shouldnt talk about things that wont happen. Unicorns! Rainbows! Ponies! Shouldnt be aspirational lest we bolster Republican efforts!
Now, that seems to have not happened. Can we start painting a bigger picture to try to encourage voters to vote D now? Maybe setting big goals and speaking them loudly so people can have something to be excited about? 2018 is coming. Lets be bold about it.

Because you know that the snark and bullshit in the post aren't going to foster discussion, right?
Nevermind. I seem to have answered my own question.

(4,387 posts)As far as I can tell, the people trying to stifle discussion have been on the other side of the equation. Not that there should even be an equation anymore. I wont deny the slight amount of sarcasm in my OP.
You cant deny that a theme of the past two years or so has been big goals vs achievable, but smaller, gains. Maybe its time we focused on big goals?
