Sweet Jesus. The mayor of an AMERICAN city is on TV begging for the most basic of supplies

Mayor Cruz of San Juan, PR is on Maddow's hour describing what her city needs. Today two ICU patients in one of her city's hospitals died because of lack of diesel fuel for the hospital's generators.

NYC's DiBlasio and Chicago's Emanuel have both sent substantial crews and some supplies to San Juan to help.

FEMA is on the ground now.

HRC called for the Navy to respond. She called for the hospital ship USNS Comfort to be dispatched.

The orange fats motherfucker is too busy with NFL bullshit to give a fat fuck. His comments today about Puerto Rico PROVES he neither knows nor cares what happens to the people there.

Meanwhile ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the power grid is DESTROYED.

I am sure that, somehow, the right wing will find a way to blame the good people of Puerto Rico for their current crisis.

Donald Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Texas & Florida are doing great but Puerto Rico, which was already suffering from broken infrastructure & massive debt, is in deep trouble.

Lainie Green
@AureliaGroup

Massive debt you and your sons helped when you bankrupted your golf course & never paid back the $33 million bond you left Puerto Ricans with.
You remember because you filed for the bankruptcy a month after you started running for president in 2015.
So how much are you going to give back of the $600,000 paycheck you got for sticking Puerto Rico with a $33 million debt?
You are a fraud, shit businessman and a terrible President racking up a civilian body count. #Resign

They didn't activate the USNS Comfort until Hillary suggested it.

This administration is incompetent. States and private individuals are doing what Trump has been slow to do.

Color your average red neck would never call white .
There's always been tons of discrimination against darker skin people throughout most of Latin America and the the Caribbean. Being whiter gives you status with too many to this day, sadly. I bet many people here don't realize that.

La Primera Dama de Puerto Rico (the First Lady of PR) is coordinating an effort to get help to PR from the private sector.

You can donate here:

http://unidosporpuertorico.com/en/

This is a national disgrace. The videos I have seen are heartbreaking. Our elderly and little ones are suffering and they need help. Despite the fact that PR is an island, our naval force has the training and capacity to assist in logistical support to ensure the safety of these citizens.

They are running low on the most basic of supplies, such as insulin for diabetics. Most people only had enough supplies for maybe 4-5 days. The situation is critical. We need to pressure our officials to provide assistance to PR. Most of the agricultural crops are gone. The country will not be able to survive, let alone recover without swift and forceful assistance.

He sickens me more every day. When will he decide it is time to crank up the help to situation critical? After people start dying in droves of dehydration?? The first thing that occurred to me was, "Who sharted out this word salad?" followed closely by "How motherfuckin' needy do you have to be to huff your own farts like that?" Practically no admission that the administration's response to Puerto Rico has been about seven days late and several million dollars short, coupled with the stop-the-presses news that Puerto Rico is an island. In the middle of water. That you can't just drive a truck to.

Or he simply doesn't care and with his short attention span has lost interest in this "disaster thing."

But you're slightly wrong - they'll blame the people of Puerto Rico, of course, but only secondarily. Their primary villain is -- wait for it ----Obama, somehow.

BTW - Irma missed me, but we spent several frightening days watching what happened in the Caribbean and the Keys and 'suffered' less than a week without power after the storm passed us. We had food, running water, flushing toilets, etc. I can imagine what those poor people are going through, having nothing and being ignored.
