Like Magic, Steve Schmidt Makes The Republican Party Disappear

Consider the Fuzzy Math of Mr. Steve Schmidt -- a respected Republican strategist who, in the space of 90 seconds, makes the entire Republican party completely disappear:

According to Mr. Schmidt, the Good Guys who think that Donald Trump is a bigoted ahole who injects "toxins into the body politic for the purposes of [his] political transactional benefit" are "the overwhelming majority of the American people." They are "Republicans or Independents or Democrats [who are] are against this".

And the Bad Guys? The ones who will gleefully and proudly stand with Il Douche, no matter what?

Mr. Schmidt would have you believe that those people are some mysterious, politically unidentifiable and unaffiliated group who just so happen to make up "35%, 36% of the country."

They just do not want to admit it is the GOP base that is the problem. They support Trump no matter what pernicious, toxic, noxious, behavior he does.

He's not a friend to liberals. Now, if he could drag the Repub Party back to the days of Eisenhower, maybe they would be people we could work with. I didn't read the entire piece, but I can imagine. Schmidt may try to spin it, but the entire party sold its soul since Reagan and deserves some time in the wilderness to reflect on what integrity and loyalty really mean. Schmidt gets good marks for his recent commentary regarding Trump, but he still contributed to the Repub takeover of our government.
