The Olympic Games is a time when the Athletes of the world converge to compete as representatives of their respective countries.

The U.S.A prides itself as being a top Gold Medal winner. I do get all teary eyed when I hear our National Anthem played. The Olympic Games should never be about Politics, but the competitive spirit, and the hard work that goes into being the best in one's sport.

As for other Sporting events, perhaps the Anthem is best not played.

The flag represents the United States. Kneeling during the US national anthem is a statement about racism in the United States, with the flag/anthem serving as representations of the US.
