(10,173 posts)I read a thousand people were there? Long lines extending a block?
Gosh seems people really are interested in what HRC has to say.

(17,518 posts)So does our President, Barack Obama. You can tell when someone's smile is sincere. W's was either smirky or goofy like a prepubescent boy. Dump doesn't smile at all. Well, neither does his wife.
I judge people by how sincere and open their smile is.

(9,426 posts)feelings about this entire tRump fiasco. How long before he is taken out? How much damage will he do before then? How long will it take a democratic president to FIX everything?

(9,250 posts)I hope and pray with all my might that I am wrong for the sake of the sweet little girl in the photo and my precious grand-niece and grand-nephews (one of which will arrive in mid-October). They didn't ask for this mess and deserve to have the opportunity to save this country from previous generation(s).

(31,261 posts)Our country has had it's head hanging over the shitter before and it always came back. I bet when people watched Senator Joe McCarthy railroad people with widespread support for him, there were some that saw no way out.
The fact that Trump can be pressured into action on PR and Price shows that he realizes there is a red line for him and his kind.
I am optimistic. We will have a female President during my lifetime.

(31,261 posts)While she takes the oath of POTUS. I saw some naysayers, but the world belongs to young people, they just have to reach out and grab it. I think the country will be in good hands with them leading.

(60,012 posts)He says that an ideal presidential candidate should be around the age of 50. He says he could do the job at this point, but he fervently hopes some younger blood will step up and go for the post (like Obama did).
Neither of my daughters has political ambitions (yet!), and they are dual citizens (USA/Germany). The dual citizenship is apparently no obstacle if you're a Republican (see Cruz, Ted), but you KNOW they'd raise holy hell about a dual citizen running for president is she's a Democrat. My daughters are just as proud of their German half as they are of their American half, and can effortlessly switch in mid-sentence from German to English depending on the nationality of the person they are talking to.
Besides, the younger one (on the right), all of 32, probably wouldn't want to take the pay cut to become President of the USA (I didn't raise no dummies).

The fact that Hillary is still out there, speaking out, challenging the status quo (this particular version of it), and showing such elegance, poise, and courage. We need that. We need to see it and hear it. We need to continue to see and hear HER.
I'm still with her.

(14,774 posts)I also did a search and found several twitter pages of Hil fans and former staff with some very touching photos, including the one you posted. She has a powerful support base that's staying strong!
We're hoping that she and Bill, along with Barack and Michelle and Jimmy and Rosalynn can continue to inspire us - and help find our most effective ways to counterweight this GOP insurgency. Her book is a good start! I hope to get a copy soon and share it with family and friends.
Some many things to work on, and so little time. That's why those little kids symbolize our hope.
