Trump Continues NFL Culture War on Fox & Friends : 'I Think It's Disgraceful'

by Aidan McLaughlin | 7:06 am, September 28th, 2017

The sun rose on Thursday, and guess what? President Donald Trump’s culture war with the NFL is still fucking going.

The president gave an interview to Fox & Friends which aired Thursday morning, and of course weekend co-host Pete Hegseth brought up Trump’s opposition to NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality.

“You have certainly started a national conversation this week, Mr. President, on the NFL,” Hegseth cooed. “Your critics say it’s been a distraction, but you say it’s critical, you talk about words like ‘patriotism’ and ‘citizenship.'”

“Why is this such an important issue for you?” asked Fox & Friends’ most obsequious patriot. Trump said the issue was not a distraction, before rattling through his achievements as president.

“But the NFL cannot disrespect our country, they cannot disrespect our flag or our national anthem.” Trump continued. “And they can’t have people sitting down or kneeling down during our national anthem.” (Both Hegseth and the president could do with reading this quick explanation of why everyone is kneeling.)

It's the reason why we have Trump in the White House. It's the reason why we have white supremacists in America. It's the reason why right wingers think they're more patriotic than the next guy and you're not a patriot if you don't follow their agenda 100%. And it's the reason why conservatives are targeting universities for their perceived liberal bias. This is what is dividing America and it's a damn shame our president watches this shit more than doing his fucking job. Fox News and Fox News viewers are the only ones fighting this bullshit. People who don't watch Fox News don't give a shit about any of this crap!! We stopped caring about Colin Kaepernick last year. They're the ones beating the dead horse.

8. If he thinks it is bad now, just wait until the NBA season starts

The NFL players don't run the league the way the NBA players do.

FYI: just another FOX broadcast that fails to inform viewers exactly why players are kneeling. It of course has nothing to do with disrespecting the flag, but hey they're only a news organization so why should they inform ppl the president is a liar, wrong, and misrepresenting facts.

9. Who would have imagined that "kneeling" could be redefined as disrespectful.

If there is ANY way to make a respectful statement, I can think of nothing more respectful than kneeling.

It's like mass hypnosis. How can anyone actually fall for this madness?
