Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhy is it ok for Donald Trump to talk to us like we are fucking idiots?
Saying that Puerto Rico is in the Middle of an ocean.. A very big ocean ..like we don't know where the fuck Puerto Rico is...
And worse .. He is making it sound as though it is far away somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic.
The mother fucker insults our intelligence each time his opens his stupid fucking mouth.
It makes me so mad that I feel his slapping the bejesus out of that conman.
Why the bloody hell does he get away with this shit??

(6,347 posts)From a page about the study. Granted this is about countries of the world but probably applicable since 75% of the US population doesn't even know PR is part of the US. Given this is 15 year old data, these subjects are now in the 32-40 age group - prime base for DJT.
The National GeographicRoper 2002 Global Geographic Literacy Survey polled more than 3,000 18- to 24-year-olds in Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Sweden and the United States.
Sweden scored highest; Mexico, lowest. The U.S. was next to last.
"The survey demonstrates the geographic illiteracy of the United States," said Robert Pastor, professor of International Relations at American University, in Washington, D.C. "The results are particularly appalling in light of September 11, which traumatized America and revealed that our destiny is connected to the rest of the world."
About 11 percent of young citizens of the U.S. couldn't even locate the U.S. on a map. The Pacific Ocean's location was a mystery to 29 percent; Japan, to 58 percent; France, to 65 percent; and the United Kingdom, to 69 percent.
As for the middle of the Atlantic, IIRC only 1/3 of the US population has now (or ever had) a passport...65% of the population has NEVER crossed the border (excepting maybe the Mexico/Canada driver's license days).
So yeah - he insults the intelligence of everyone who paid any attention to learning about the world around them. But for his base he's got to educate them so they're be able to understand his bullshit. Some meaningful percent (not all) are so stupid that he is their teacher.

(5,810 posts)bring him up to speed on simple facts that most of us learned long ago. So every day is a learning experience for him. He is so arrogant that he assumes the rest of us are just as dumb as him. Not so. But he just can't help himself. He loves to look like the wise man who knows everything and just wants to impress us with his encyclopedic knowledge. Instead he regularly confirms what we already suspect about him. He is not smart, can't negotiate his way out of a wet paper bag and has fooled a lot of people into thinking he is some kind of genius. The truth is coming out and even the tRump faithful will undersrand who and what they chose. Fingers crossed. 😉
