Donald Trump - "The NFL is in a box."

Because you put them there by politicizing it. You wrapped yourself in the Flag and the Anthem and tried to make protest against you protest against those symbols. Outside of Deplorables nobody likes or respects you.

You have the Midas Touch in reserve. Everything you touch turns to shit.

He has alienated the athletes who are responsible for the most popular professional sport, especially among older white men, and has called for them to be fired. Right. Let's see those football games without all the men who knelt or otherwise expressed solidarity with the protesters.

And there's no way out for him. He's never going to back down. Well, maybe he has a way out if the players decide that they won't kneel for the anthem but simply join arms with each other. Trump seems to believe that this gesture shows support for him.
