Scalise is back

Speaking on the House floor now. Thanked God, the Capitol police, the docs, the public.

2. He says

it has deepened his faith. Wonder if his ideas about gun control have changed.

4. I think, no change

In his stand on guns, he will continue to tow the NRA line!

7. Deeper faith without repentence won't point him to that narrow gate

he presumably believes in. A repentant and anxious GOP whip would be pretty funny. Lol. If only.

9. He loves guns

During the 112th Congress, Scalise introduced the Firearms Interstate Commerce Reform Act, which eases federal restrictions on interstate firearms purchases. He also co-sponsored a bill to repeal the DC gun ban — a law that was later overturned by the Supreme Court in the District of Columbia v. Heller — and he sponsored the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011, which would allow national reciprocity for concealed carry permit holders. Scalise has earned an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association.

11. Nancy Pelosi is about as professional as a leader comes

and more compassionate than any Republican. Scalise is a member of the House of Representatives where she is Minority Leader and was once Speaker. She cares about the people she works with and puts the human being before the politician.
