The presidents son reportedly demanded an end to his familys Secret Service protection, but it was restored after one week after the agency pushed back.
While he was away from the protection detail, Trump Jr. flew to the Yukon to hunt, according to a detailed report in the New York Times Magazine.
Trump Jr. spent a week with friends to go bow hunting in the sparsely populated territory, the magazine reported. Its not clear who Trump Jr. hunted with, but he claims he killed a moose big one, too, according to the presidents son."
Cowardly little piece of shit! I hope one day he and his dip-shit brother are torn apart by wild animals.
However it's interesting that he ditched the SS to go hunting there. The Yukon borders Alaska, it would have been a very convenient meet-up place for Jr. and Russian agents - remote, sparsely populated and close to the motherland.

(70,476 posts)A moose is a big animal and a bad shot with an arrow can put the animal
in pain for days.
BTW the moose population is crashing in many parts of N.America because of
brain worm and global warming so not unless you live in the area and you need
to harvest the moose for meat there is no good to kill one. Plenty of white tail
deer that need thinned out all over the place.
I bet Trump Jr. hunted to get "some horns."

(63,221 posts)But hunting for sport is just about ego. There is nothing useful that comes out of it.
I'm not a hunter, so I don't know what distinctions hunters make, but I do see a difference between hunting (as long as a species is not endangered) for food and hunting for "the thrill" of it. The latter is what makes me sick.

some tenderloins which he might eat as he drinks a $1,000 a bottle wine.
Although outside hunters in some places like the Yukon profide much $$$ for the
local economy for guides, bush planes, lodging, and taxidermy. If you have a
substainable population then harvesting a moose doesn't really hurt the overall
population.* I would rather see him hunt a moose then a big cat or elephant
in Africa.
Trump Jr. no doubt did rich guy hunting ..... flown into a local airport or lake
then picked up by a boat, jeep, or ATV, taken to a really upscale lodge, fed
meals, sitting around a fire on really comfortable chairs, drinking the good stuff,
and then being woken up and taken to a blind or tree stand where the locals
know that their is a big bull moose around. Moose walks under Jr. and he sticks it
w/an arrow and then the help skins and cleans the moose after Jr. poses by the
corpse.
If he really wants to hunt our white tail deer population is out of control and needs
to be thinned out.
Moose are going extinct in N. Minnesota because of climate change.

He uses every bit of the animal that is usable for food, makes rugs out of the pelts (and I think mounts the head).
As much as I don't like hunting - as long as one is willing to eat meat there is no meaningful distinction between hunting for your food and buying it from a butcher. Perhaps it is even morally superior to hunt - since presumably the critter had a much better life before it suddenly ended than most farm animals.
