Has William Weld spoken publically since November?

Last edited Thu Sep 28, 2017, 06:56 PM - Edit history (1)

I remember that he stated he would much rather have Hillary than Trump right before November.
He even said that he had briefly thought about stepping down as VP on the Libertarian ticket and instead endorsing Hillary. But, he said that wouldn't be fair to Gary Johnson.
I wonder if he now regrets that.

why would he step down? The Libertarian Party draws normally republican voters. Voltaire2 Sep 2017 #1

He took votes from Trump. Some early polling said he was taking some votes from Clinton but that was when he was polling 9-12%. Anyone who knows politics knew that was nonsense and they would end up with 3-4% as they always do. Those were the hard core who if the Ls were not on the ballot would have voted R or not voted at all.

...he must be unhappy with the outcome. He may have voted for Hillary.

Btw, my opinion is that he probably got more votes that would have gone to Trump than Hillary, but there was more of a mix than Jill Stein, for example - she hurt Hillary, specifically.
