What's the average state of discourse in the US right now in the Trump era?

Never having lived in the US I'm not familiar with what the daily atmosphere is like in most cities. Mind you I've done enough traveling to know that day to day things don't change that much from one place to another. But. I can't help but imagine that Trump and his cronies must have had some kind of impact on even street level discourse. What's it like? Do you hear other people in restaurants talking about what an utter piece of shit he is? Do you have to deal with a lot more open emboldened ass holes? What kind of daily discussions have you heard?

It's near unamious that peooke feel animosity towards him. But if you drive 25 minutes out to the east bay ( suburbs) you better be careful critcizing twitler in public because there are a lot of maga hat wearing jerks. In the north and South Bay area there is also disgust at twitler. Was in a movie theatre in Palo Alto ( Stanford/Silicon Valley) his name came up and people booed!

is more rude behavior from some people. The lid is off for some to express their anger and racism.
Hardly ever hear discussions about trump but I do see people venting anger/resentment over little things - I assume that is the result of watching FAUX news. Their adrenaline level is high.

To be honest, I avoid anywhere and anyone who may support trump but when it happens, I've learned I have too much pent up anger myself. My neighbor came over yesterday (Mr. 2 trump bumper stickers) and told me THEY say he is a white supremacist. He got a tutorial about the propaganda efforts of FAUX, the shameful history of human trafficking that was slavery and more.
