Top Senate Democrat Sends Paul Ryan Reeling After Calling Out His Tax Plan Lies

By Jason Easley at Politicus USA

http://www.politicususa.com/2017/10/01/top-senate-democrat-sends-paul-ryan-reeling-calling-tax-plan-lies.html

"SNIP............

CHUCK SCHUMER: Well, look. We Democrats sent a letter to the Republican leadership and the president, said that here were three things that we thought tax reform ought to have. 1) Tax breaks ought not to go to the top 1% but ought to be focused on the middle class. 2) It ought not blow a hole in the deficit. And 3) it ought to be done in a bipartisan way, not through reconciliation.

Unfortunately the Republican plan doesn’t agree with any of those. First, it’s completely focused on the wealthy and the powerful. Not on the middle class. Second, it blows a huge hole in the deficit. And third, they said they’re going to do it through reconciliation. That’s a partisan process. It excludes Democrats. It’s the same process that led to the demise on health care. And let me just address one thing, John. Speaker Ryan keeps saying it helps the middle class. That’s not true. What he’s saying and what the plan is are totally different.

Let me go over three quick points. 1) They get rid of the estate tax. The only people who benefit are the very wealthy, estates over $11 million. 5,000 estates will get over $3 million each. Second, they lower the top rate from 39 to 35. That affects the wealthy. They raise the lowest rate from 10 to 12. That affects working people.

What Republicans are proposing is based on the ideological myth that tax cuts create growth, but as was recently seen in Kansas, massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations don’t create growth. They explode deficits and trash the economy.

Then when it hits them they will go along with the GOP BS...the Dems or Obama did it! Idiotic morons (his base) will screw the people who think and vote rationally/realistically every time. The US against THEM is wider than ever.

'Trickle down' didn't work under Saint Ronnie, didn't work under W, and sure the hell won't work under 45*. It's nothing more than a giveaway to the ultra rich at the expense of everyone else, while at the same time trashing the economy. If this idiocy passes we'll be in the same ultra-recession as what W got us into.

if the deplorables buy this latest iteration, is how the eff can they after we now have a track record of several decades of repeated failures of this garbage, plus even pukes criticizing or pointing out how it doesn't work (some guy who was in a puke admin when they passed one of these commented recently that these tax cuts don't work).

You have to be truly dimwitted, willfully ignorant, or a selfish beneficiary to support tax cuts this time.

So we get to have social sec, medicaid and medicare threatened by Republicans Austerity BullShitters in perpetuity.. Double Bingo.

Gotta start looking at this as a major feature of the Republican agenda to destroy our social safety nets and in fact our democracy.

Until democrats start engaging on the real, underlying causes we will make little progress -- the real cause is that GOP billionaire donors control the party, and they want tax cuts, so Paul Ryan will say WHATEVER LIE HE CAN THINK OF to make that happen. Democrats need to stop engaging on the surface words and start engaging on underlying causes.

Chuck Schumer is right!

On "Face the Nation" yesterday, John Dickerson let House Speaker Eddie Munster lie about the GOP-Trump tax plan with virtually no rebuttal or follow-up questions.

"John, this tax plan will benefit the middle class, not the wealthy"
(The same bullshit that President Assface spouts)

However, the politicususa headline is ridiculous!
The only thing that will "send Ryan reeling" is an indictment in the Russian 2016 Election Interference investigation.

Mr Mueller, PLEASE hurry up, will you?
We are running out of time!
