Vegas - 32nd floor? I always thought it was odd that you open the windows.

From the 32nd floor killing 50 and injuring 200 - he must have just sprayed the crowd. Horrible.
That's a serious amount of rounds.

Having been to Vegas a few times, I always thought OF ALL PLACES it was weird that you could open the window in a hotel room. MGM Grand was the last place I stayed at (a few years ago) and when we first got there I saw that you could open the window. I guess it's a "whatever goes in Vegas" thing so smoking is accommodated but it just seemed odd to me. I've never been in another hotel room that had windows you could open especially on higher floors.

This is so sad.

the shooter would likely have just taken a sledgehammer to the window if he was determined to shoot from there. Not being able to open the window isn't going to deter someone like that.

Witnesses say the rapid fire shots sounded like machine gun fire. "I was sitting out here on the side walk and all of a sudden there was...I thought fireworks... And then I saw a window come out and glass shatter everywhere. And then two or three more windows came out. And then open machine gun fire out that direction you could see the blinds from the window going out. I didn't see a person but they were shooting towards the concert area. I don't know if they were they looked to be going higher than that not down, but that probably was 200/300 rounds, and interspersed in-between while maybe reloading or something there was interior gunfire too," said Lucas Brew, who heard the shooting.
