Another Curious Question - Why Did He Stop Shooting?

He apparently was shooting for around 10 minutes, but then it was another hour before they got to him. I just read that he did shoot at the police once they located him. If true, he did not kill himself after he finished shooting.

Did he lay low in hopes they wouldn't locate him? Did he run out of the high power ammunition? Seems to me that the death count could have been even higher if he had kept shooting the full 72 minutes it took to locate him.

to understand any of this. I find it terribly disheartening looking through posts on facebook. The conspiracy theories are rampant as hell and everyone seems to know exactly what happened. After the shooting and readind/debating on facebook I have no faith in humanity anymore. Collectively, we are not well...

I was criticized for being someone who believes "the official news." Does that not just prove my point? What is wrong with this country?

peered through binoculars, skimmed TV channels, fingers got cramped, gun broke, got bored, sent texts,
listened for footsteps...

Any number of random things.

8. You would think a security alarm would have gone off when he broke out the window.

Also, where did the broken glass land? On a sidewalk or some less traveled location? Seems a little odd no one noticed the glass or broken window.

I think those 72 minutes are going to fuel a lot of conspiracy theories in the years to come.

The smoke alarms went off when the room got smoky, which helped them locate him. If he imagined they'd find him as soon as that happened he might well have killed himself.

Within several minutes they figured out the shooting was coming from above Then determined it was from the Mandalay direction. OK look up oh there's broken windows. Shine a spotlight if needed looks like floor 30 or so. Probably not that hard to determine exact floor and which rooms just by seeing the broken windows. WTF? It took over an hour to search floor by floor Thank God he stopped shooting after 10 minutes

because the fire alarm in his room went off because of the smoke from the rifles. Maybe that is what stopped him.
