Common Republican Gun Lies

* Stronger gun control laws will do nothing to curb mass killings
* Chicago is the murder capital of the USA
* It is too soon to talk about gun legislation
* Gun laws on the books aren't being enforced

Feel free to add more.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

it's so dumb.. it's SO intellectually lazy... When I deconstruct it to a gun nut, you can see their eyes glaze over...

Just by guns or including other means?

If it's not clear what the requirements are, anybody can use reasonable ones to make a claim.

But it's also difficult to rebut such a claim.

By one measure, Chicago is the murder capital. By another, St. Louis. That's if we just look at larger cities. If we make some kind of weighted average, perhaps Baltimore wins.

St Louis 312,000
Chicago 2,700,000

What's the debate?
Of course you go by per capita.

I think Nevada’s AG has been refusing to enforce universal background checks, iirc.
