The dead in Las Vegas were enjoying their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The killer enjoyed his right to bear arms. Which is more important in this case America? Should we try and change one? What one makes the most sense? Common sense or nonsense. How can this even be suggested as a choice? I'm numb and stunned by this devision in our country.
Peace and love to the dead, and all the future dead to come, from Americas gun madness. It's endless.

the fundamentalists I know. "It's God's will, nothing we can do about it", etc.
Learned helplessness from their preacher and SB convention.
This is cult behavior, where there is pride that their loved one or someone they knew was killed at an event. Sick, and I don't know how in the heck we're supposed to deprogram so many people.

Guns have killed an entire nation of people since Reagan got elected. I don't want to use the word "genocide" but I feel like the amount of deaths guns have senselessly ended has killed almost as many people. And anyone could die at any minute because of some nut with a gun.

And in a event like Vegas or any other shooting in the last few years, what happens? The gun nuts will call it a false flag. The Christian right will tell the victims - whether they live or die - deserved it because, god. AM hate radio and the NRA will obstruct any meaningful legislation to get guns in the hands of those who can't handle them. And it will continue to get worse. It's a slap in the face to the victims. It's horrible.

How can they be comfortable with this type of thing? There is going to be another one in the future. What about the people who die in that one? Are they going to write notes to the loved ones thanking them for their deceased loved one's service for their right to have as many guns as they have?

Are they willing for it to be themselves or their children? The odds are low enough that it is too easy to put that duty onto others.
