Rohrabacher's race moved to 'toss-up' amid Russia investigation entanglements

Saying the actions of the Republican incumbents have put their seats in danger, the nonpartisan Cook Political Report shifted its ratings of the election contests in two Southern California districts toward Democrats on Friday.

Though the general election is 13 months away, potential challengers and donors take a long look at such ratings when they are deciding where to spend their money.

Nine California Republican-held congressional districts are being closely watched as Democrats try to secure the seats they need to win back the House in the 2018 midterms.

A story that was NEVER reported about the 2016 election,...Orange County went for Clinton by 8 points.

Ponder that for a moment, "behind the Orange Curtain", a county the Republicans hadn't lost since 1936, went for a Democrat.

I never saw this brought up in any conversation, again, one of the most populous counties, an affluent county, flipped, in the direction opposite of what happened in other parts of the country.

Now specific to your post, Royce has the best chance to hold. His district is suburban with very little demographic shifts. Dana is in a district that is much more transient, while likely having the most vocal MAGA assholes. Two beach communities, original home owners heavily weighted to Defense Contractor employees, whose offspring include entitled assholes, who sit on their assess and bitch about the Mexicans taking their jobs.

The other OC seats are in areas that are much less established when compared to Royce's. Irvine and the surrounding area (Walters district) are much less white and include fewer native Californians. She ducks any meetings with the general public, supports tRump without question and will get her ass kicked in 2018. Dana will have a fight, but I think he loses a close one. Issa barely won in 2016 and he will go down
