Is it possible to limit size of image displayed?

Is it possible to limit size of image displayed?

Some of the images we choose to display are larger than they need to be in these topics.

Is there a way to add some sizing code to the url?

Maybe some option I have not noticed?

I did that all the time with any photos I posted here if they were too large. Now, I either don't post images or find one that's an acceptable size. But other photo sharing sites must allow editing images - I just haven't found another site yet.

I use FastStone Image Viewer...

http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm

...free download allows me to do very basic edits including a resize option... free and easy to use...

I left Photobucket and moved over to Imgbox...

https://imgbox.com

...free and easy to use as well...

Please note that this process is for uploading images that you have control over... if you are cross posting to DU from another site, I'm not sure if you can resize from that source...
