You knew the kid who got to go to Chicago to see the BEATLES (1963)had a rich Dad....

Sometimes it just kind of smacks you in the face how there are really rich folks and really poor folks in our country. Wasn't that way when we were growing up. You knew the kid who got to go to Chicago to see the BEATLES had a rich Dad....that's about all. My neighbor makes $9 Grand a year, disabled. In Walker's Wisconsin gets $15 a MONTH in Foodstamps. Pennies a day. And now Trump is coming after that....I was reading a magazine today at the gym, and one of Paul Newman's watches just fetched $3.7 Million at auction. So some guy has $3.7 Million just to mess around with.

That's all.

and my parents were not rich. Back then, it was possible to see super groups with spending a fortune.

I took the train with three friends from Charleston, WV. The night the concert was supposed to happen, it rained--do you remember? And we made panicked calls home to see if we could stay overnight for the rescheduled concert the next night.

It took place in '65. The album included a couple of "tickets" which were $5.00. Super cheap.

But I get your point, and and it's a real tragedy that your neighbor is in danger of losing what little he has

My best friend had great parents who drove us there from Ohio. No one involved was rich . . . and we got within feet of meeting "the boys." (Parents made restaurant reservations in their hotel and my friend and I crept up the back stairs. It was a blast. Even when the cop caught us. LOL.)
