When a woman is on t.v., sex sells, at least according to the people who dress them. Men, not so much, again, according to the same criteria.

I do think Velshi is kind of cute though. But I agree head hair is important, at least if one is young and looking for a mate (I'm shallow). My hubby has lost quite a bit, but he's awesome anyway. Thirty years in and we are still madly in love, most of the time, lol.

And while he still has plenty of hair for a pony tail, he's thinning on top. It worries him a lot. That he is completely gray while I am just beginning to get a few gray hairs bugs him, too.

So when I met this man who I could be a friend to as well as the other benefits of a close relations, it was a natural.

"attractive," (in a very conventional way) otherwise she wouldn't "deserve" to be in this position, because of course a woman's primary value according to mainstream society is still her physical attractiveness to men. many women literally can't imagine the world being any different, so they go along with this. also, public people tend to be climbers, so they will do "whatever it takes" to gain fame/fortune.

the male newscasters are typically selected to look and sound authoritative, be square-jawed, wear big shoulder pads, and appear intellectual....and to be overbearing to the ladies.

That's really a double-whammy to the intelligence and value of the females anchors trying to succeed!

Women are still considered to be more valuable if they're traditionally "pretty" and dress to show off their bodies. Men get the standard uniform and have to look like Twenty miles of bad road for it to even be mentioned.
