The Woman in the Arena
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong woman stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
The credit belongs to the woman who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends herself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if she fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that her place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

(1,788 posts)I remember her hitting the national stage saying she didn't sit home having teas and making cookies, but had a career...I loved her that very moment. She spoke to me, has always spoke to me and will forever. She is my president.

(9,426 posts)Enjoy those grandchildren. She is an honorable woman, who has survived years of insults from the gop. They are jealous because she is too smart for them to take down. Everything they throw at her, bounces back on them. Total opposite of the candidate they elevated to the WH. Have a wonderful day, Madame Secretary.

(42,862 posts)I'm so glad that she's on our team. We need more people who SUPPORT Democrats to make up for the irritating people to smear and denigrate Democrats with lies and attacks. She doesn't actively CREATE discontent in order to ride a false "wave". She's confident enough that she doesn't need blind "followers" because she wants people to think for themselves.
She's so intelligent... absolutely brilliant! She's NOT one of those politicians who's in it for personal gain. She's honorable. She has integrity. She's not afraid to take a stand, but she also appreciates the value of being able to compromise.
She's understands REALITY and she knows how politics works. She knows you have to give a little to get a little. She totally gets the fact that standing-still is NOT "progressive". She's NOT wrapped up in vanity-politics. She's not in it to boost her ego or bank account.
She's loyal. She's truthful. She's self-assured enough to admit her flaws and weaknesses. She's always striving to improve, and by-example, she encourages others to do the same.
She gives credit where credit is due. She's not the kind of politician to steal ideas or glom-on to others coattails. She's her own woman. She's respected around the world. She's an inspiration to me, and countless other women and girls around the globe.

(161 posts)I fear for your safety from the insane orange man or a trumpeter. We as a country have falling to levels never seen before. Physically attacking or jailing/prosecuting you is not beyond the realm of possibility. I weep for my country that I, my son and over 200 years of ancestors defended.
