"The walls are closing in" " Everyone is freaking out."

“The walls are closing in,” said one senior Republican in close contact with top staffers who spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly. “Everyone is freaking out.”

Trump is also increasingly agitated by the expansion of Mueller’s probe into financial issues beyond the 2016 campaign and about the potential damage to him and his family.

Privately, aides and allies acknowledged that the campaign had perhaps not sufficiently vetted the two men before bringing them on board.

On Sunday, Trump had attempted to seek refuge from the political squall with another round of golf at his Virginia club. Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) were set to join him, according to two people briefed on the plans — an afternoon of camaraderie and talk about his tax proposal. It was not to be. Rainy weather forced the White House to cancel the outing — yet another disappointment, beyond the president’s control.

One of whom just happened to have literally the most senior position in the entire campaign.

The campaign chairman who’s been friends with Trump for thirty years? He would have been doing the vetting though?

That guy’s business partner? The one y’all thought enough of to keep on after the election? The one you gave a White House job to?

Or the guy with the funny name who no one associated with Trump had heard of until this morning? That guy who got his emails forwarded campaign-wide, whose plans were implemented, was put in charge of communications with multiple foreign governments? The guy who got all of his emails to the campaign manager personally answered? The guy who called Trump’s campaign manager and the campaign manager answered every time? That guy who’s been wearing a wire for the last three months?

I guess I’m just confused on who, besides Trump himself, the Trump team failed to vet.

...that's why they're toadies. They don't really have a job other than telling their boss how smart he is, all day long.

Manafort actually did have a job though, but he was working for Russians. He just forgot to put it on his resume. I'll bet you $5 that Trump knew Manafort was working for the Russians. And he's been selling the Russians properties through Paul Manafort too, for the last 10 or more years.

He only hires the very BEST people. He said so himself. And you can buh-leave him. Uh-huh. Best people, my fat fanny! How many people have come and gone in this circus gone mad?? I lost count.

I really wish I could be a fly on the wall at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue these days. I imagine it sucks to be tRump because every now and then he has to come out of his pouting room to do things like give candy out to the kiddies. He probably could have really traumatized the little darlings by biting the head off of a few bats to express his rage. Instead he had that simpy smile he uses when he’d rather have a root canal than be where he is.

Vetter: Place your left hand on this copy of The Art of the Deal and raise you right hand.
Vettee: OK.
Vetter: Do you solemnly swear you will dedicate your entire life, soul, youngest girl-child, property and money to King Trump, never disagree with or cross Him, never criticize or defame Him, never look at his women, never make fun of His hair or hands, never beat Him in golf, and vow to make the annual King's ritual worship ceremony at Trump Tower on Christmas Eve?
Vettee: I do.
Vetter: By the power vested in me by Lord Steve Bannon, you are now vetted. You may now kiss the King's left shoe, then get your ass to work.

No, seriously! If they were actually nicer, and not a bunch of tRump cultists, it wouldn't be happening to them!
