Romney is finished

Lawrence O'Donnelle just showed a clip from the debates where Romney states "I worked for one company (Bain) for 25 years."

That's 3 more years than he now is claiming he has worked for Bain.

I predict this will be enough for the American people to totally reject him.

He's done.

flipping, flopping, slicing, dicing, slipping, sliding and hiding stuff. Like - money. Frankly, any jackass who worships some alleged "God" that allegedly demands someone pay 10% of their (in Romney's case rather substantial) income in "tithes" to get into "Heaven" is at least as batshit crazy, dangerous, and dishonest as those "other" guys who somehow believe that if they worship "Allah" or whoever that they'll be granted a slew of virgins after they die - or some similar loony crap.

Really. REALLY?!

Obama may not be perfect but damn at least he's SANE and he can talk for (much) longer than 30 seconds without LYING and he can keep facts and his own stance on various issues straight over time. And he doesn't hide his money in other countries to avoid paying taxes on it and his wife is NOT some hoity-toity condescending snotrag who refers to anyone as "you people" (and if she did it would make headlines for weeks!)

What the HELL ever happened to just plain common sense and decency in this country? Yea I know: Fox "News" and Rush Limbaugh, that's what. Rupert Murdoch, etc.

There's no damn shortage of STUPID in this country. The United States is the richest nation in the world when it comes to STUPID. If we could pay our bills and pay off our national debt with STUPID, we'd have it made. And apparently Nero Norquist, Sneering little Eric Whatshisname, and Mittens think we can! Because they sure as hell insist that THEY and their rich friends should NEVER have to pay any taxes and that the government does't NEED any revenue for anything but bombing the shit out of the rest of the world ("who needs guvmint! just shut it down!&quot and they pander exclusively to the stupidest of the STUPID here who they have believing the same thing.

Meanwhile, Mitten's friends The Koch Bros, the Wall St. mafia and various other pimps, crooks, rapists and sundry other seedy bandits (re: Sheldon Adelson) here and around the world are all in cahoots making a killing robbing the rest of us blind and turning the US into a nation of slaves to the gilded class.

Oh they're not finished. Romney's not finished. Not by a longshot! Not until every one of the rest of us non-rich, non-corprat, non-people are destitute, have zero opportunity to have decent lives or eke out a modest life for ourselves or our families anymore, and we and our children are all serfs and slaves with dead-end jobs and college degrees, swimming in student loan or mortgage debt and if we're not slammed into some debtor's prison somewhere, busy kissing and polishing the golden feet and toilets of The Gilded Class heretofore mentioned in the previous paragraph, our natural environment and therefore our health, water and food is destroyed, and we have no health care because that will only be for people who can "afford" it.

Oh you just wait. You ain't seen nothin' yet! Does anyone here remember when there WAS NO SOCIAL SECURITY OR MEDICARE or NO worker health or safety laws or NO environmental protections or NO unions? 'Cause that's what we're going back to.

They're not finished. And if they don't FINALLY destroy this country permanently for the rest of us in 2012, they'll be back in 2016, with even dirtier, more blatant criminal tricks, voter cleansing lists, Jim Crow Voter ID laws, rigged voting machines, and intimidation tactics and A WHOLE LOT MORE shady, shadowy, special-interest, corprat superPAC money to buy THEMSELVES a government with.

Even if Romney WAS finished, the rest of them are not.

Mark my words. We're going DOWN. He isn't finished. But if he gets "elected", we are.

I've been thinking about what kind of civic life we'll have in this country in about 10 or 15 years, when the children of all of these know-nothing, anti-government, rabid, Fox "News" watching, "conservatives" reach adulthood.

They've been raised in this poisonous environment of right-wing demagogues. They don't even know what a rational, civil discussion looks like. All institutions of government, science, and education are illegitimate, etc., etc.

What kind of awful, dysfunctional society might they create?

He'll say he approximated and was wrong. He's gonna pull this tax hiding all the way to November unless if something real damning comes out before the convention and maybe Ron Paul or Sarah Palin will try and jump in.

The GOP is already pushing back saying Obama should show us his birth certificate and school papers. The GOP isn't going to care about Rmoney taxes. They are snow blind.

no doubt things are not looking particularly good for him, But nothing that finishes him off by any means. Obama certainly holds the overall advantage and will likely win - but Romney could still very will prevail and be inaugurated as President of the United States in January. That is reality. It is unwise to missunderestimate one's opponent.

Not as long as he continues fear-mongering to his fans and independent voters, he has the CU cash behind him to smear the president with, and he has hate radio and the not-really liberal media shilling for him. Plus this is the same country where ** was pResident for 8 years. Obama's off to a good start, but his task is still far from finished. Fox Noise even came out this week trying to take one of his speeches out of context again.

This business with the tax returns is just the biggest symptom of Romney's "disease": a social AND political tone-deafness that has mutated into the pathological.

Independents may not be happy with Obama's insistence on bipartisanship, or his holding on to so many Bush-era policies (which they made clear by kicking Dems out of the House in 2010). But their memories of the Bush era haven't faded yet, and Romney's basic deficiencies of both common sense AND self-control are reminding them why they decided to "try" Obama in the first place (as illustrated here).

Most independent voters are NOT going to see Romney as an improvement and give him a "try", especially if he continues to refuse to account for himself financially.
