It really is worrisome that Trump's Twitter is that vulnerable

What if, instead of an employee leaving the company who wanted to have some fun, this had been a well placed terrorist or spy who wanted to start WW3 by having the account tweet something to provoke North Korea, Iran, China, Russia, or God knows who? This could have ended in disaster, not laughter.

We don’t know enough about Twitter’s user administration tools to know what functions they perform apart from suspending, locking, deleting and verifying accounts.

Most websites do not allow internal staff members to hijack user accounts. I have no idea if Twitter permits that or not. If it does, I suspect a critical priority effort is now underway to prevent anybody except the actual account owner from being able to use an account (apart from account hacking). Still, expect Twitter to be feverishly to improve account security.

I don't use Twitter much so have no real idea just what it does or doesn't do in regards to security or much else.

dies by the tweet. Trump's Twitter habit will be his undoing. And it will serve him right.
