A massive tragedy just happened. Gee, what's CNBC got on?

Joe Kernen . . . "interviewing" Grover Norquist . . . pushing the out-of-context "Obama hates Prosperity" meme . . . and urging people to vote for Romney unless you want to see a $500 billion tax increase.

They can't stop the shite propaganda for even ONE morning?? COME on. They report on other events not related to finance. They're not that far removed a specialty channel that they can't lay off the anti-Obama bullshit and cover what matters.

Come to think of it, it's probably better they didn't cover it. They'd probably find some way to blame this on the President . . .

It just makes me sick that they can't even dial it down for one DAY. Not one.

Oh hey, there we go. A 10 second blurb . . . aaaaaaaand back to business and blame.

GOD I wish we had Bloomberg TV instead.

. . . IOW, I'd much rather have Bloomberg as a financial channel in general instead of being stuck with this worthless anti-Obama ad of a station.

at how long it took for certain channels to either switch to covering the events, or go off the air entirely, and that was a much bigger and more tragic story than this. As has already been pointed out, CNBC is not primarily a news channel.

Back in 2001, Bloomberg News took hours to get off "We don't think eh stock market is going to open today", and QVC finally gave up and went off the air only after about three hours of no one calling in to buy whatever they were trying to sell at that point. After a day of the nonstop coverage, the Cartoon Network went back to showing cartoons, and simply running a scroll that said basically, we think this is appropriate, let your kids watch this if you so choose, and you can watch coverage of other events elsewhere.
