I wont hold my breath for all the Pizzagate conspiracists to step forward and condemn Moore, who unlike alleged restauranteurs and shadowy Democratic politicians, has actually been, ahem, accused by bona fide victims of a crime.
I am curious, though, as to why so many conservative politicians get caught in scandals involving underage teens. Is that the flip side of their supposed sexual morality and family values? Is it just another specimen of the callous indifference movement conservatism cultivated towards the less fortunate? Or just an odd fluke?

(3,867 posts)and I think hating themselves for it. They reach out to religion to cleanse their soul, it just doesn't work. So, they attack others hoping to take attention away from their own deprivation.

(362 posts)If I had to point to any single explanation, Id say the extreme religious morality in which one always secretly lusts for whatever one demonizes is the culprit here.
If we were as rotten as partisan conservatives, we would be spreading bullst conspiracies about sex rings in the GOP and the far-right churches. We arent that rotten and I wouldnt want us to be.
