This is how a Moore supporter backs away from Moore....sorta

He's not quite ready to give up, is he?

“Word was he was gonna run for governor.
Well, he can do a whole lot less damage in the Senate here than if he were elected governor.
I’d rather give him one vote in the Senate than being in control of the state of Alabama.”

Alabama logic: A colloquial rationalization that acquits any Republican of ever having done anything wrong, unethical or fucked up.

At least not among the hardcore, and Alabama is certainly a center for hardcore “conservatism.”

Within 24 hours of the accusations Moore was fundraising off them and comparing himself to Jesus (his supporters also compared him to Joseph. I guess in for a penny, in for a pound).

This sanctimonious fake-Christian creep could literally be caught performing a human sacrifice during a Satanic ritual, and damn near half the population would still believe that Moore was the only “true Christian” in the race.
