HAMILTON 68: TRACKING RUSSIAN INFLUENCE OPERATIONS ON TWITTER
Top Themes
Between October 21 and November 3, we examined 121 unique articles that were among the top URLs shared by Kremlin-oriented Twitter accounts. Of those URLs, 30% were anti-Hillary Clinton, 11% were anti-Robert Mueller, 7% were anti-Barack Obama, and 4% were anti-Tony Podesta (several URLs attacked a combination of or all of the above figures). The most common theme was collusion between Democrats and Russia: the Uranium One deal and the DNCs funding of the Trump dossier were common points of emphasis (featured in 14% and 11% of all URLs respectively). Republican critics of the presidentJohn McCain, Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, and even Rex Tillersonwere each the focus of one negative article. Eight URLs (7%) focused on the terror attacks in Manhattan, with half of the stories promoting anti-Islam or anti-immigration narratives, including three stories that blamed Democrats for the diversity visa lottery program. Other prominent topics were sexual misconduct in Hollywood (5%), NFL anthem protests (3%), and Vegas conspiracy theories (3%). As usual, Syria was the most common geopolitical topic (9% of all URLs).

US President Donald Trump says an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Syria would save many lives after the two met at a summit of Asia-Pacific leaders.
Key points:
Mr Trump and Mr Putin agreed a political solution was needed on Syria
The US President said Mr Putin reiterated that he did not meddle in the recent US presidential elections
Mr Putin said the alleged Manafort link to Russia was fabricated by Mr Trump's opponents
"We agreed very quickly," Mr Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in the resort city of Danang to Vietnam's capital Hanoi.

(16,423 posts)2. Because the alt-right is pushing the conspiracy-theory that the US is in command of ISIS.
Have you seriously never heard that? Really?
It's in almost every single comment-section over at RT. It's accepted truth over there that the US founded, controls and supports ISIS and that that they are only pretending to fight ISIS. And RT is supporting this narrative with half-truths and rumors.
