Maybe Fox keeps him as a fig leaf, "fair and balanced because we have libtard Shep!". (I don't know if he's actually a liberal, but Fox News zombies would certainly think so because he's gay, and he does some decent reporting.)

A while back I watched a good amount of Shep. No clue what his politics are. He tried to have good interviews and when they werent he would call out the absurdity and have fun.
