Flake is a fake. Like most Republicans, he votes to yank food out of the mouths of poor children in order to stuff more money into the offshore bank accounts of billionaires. Trump and Moore believe in doing the same things, and Flake's only objection to them is that they LOOK so stupid while they're doing it.

Gilles telling him to be a 'foil' for Trump in 2020 just reminded me of that golden scene from the old Larry Sanders show, where Hank is looking for another job, and he tries to convince Robin Williams that he'd be a good sidekick for him.

At the 1:20 mark:

Robin: "I'm sorry I was in your face earlier."

Hank: "Are you kidding? When you said my head reminded you of your penis after a cold swim, I was honored. In fact, I think I'd be a perfect foil for you..."

If Flake ever played a foil for Trump, it would be pretty much like that.
