She is the governor because she happened to be the Lieutenant Governor when the corrupt governor Robert Bentley resigned just ahead of an impeachment posse (a la Nixon). She seem to be somewhat befuddled and overwhelmed by her newfound 'power' and is also rumored a teeny bit of a dipsomaniac (look it up).

In case you missed it, she said she has no reason to disbelieve the women who have come forward with charges against Moore.
BUT, she will still vote for a pedophile because it's much more important that Republicans maintain a majority in the senate.

All I could think of, watching her tv interview was how the hell did she get elected (even, or maybe especially) in AL.

5. It's really weird. We know little about her personal life.

She was married, years ago, and moved to California. She was a high school teacher there. We don't even know what she taught.
Evidently the marriage dissolved? He died? Kids?
We don't know.
She just arrived back in Alabama.
