Went and saw the Batman movie tonight.

We discussed the "danger" of possible copy cats, and decided we weren't going to let fear rule our lives, so off we went.

I found myself being more aware of the "in-and-out" folks (none of whom were behaving inappropriately), but there was no increased security, and by the end of the film, I wasn't as jumpy as I was in the beginning.

My sympathies are still with the victims.

I liked Spiderman better.

are going to sit well with the latest Batman version without looking at all the doors every 10 seconds.

Even when it comes out on DVD....

I found myself thinking of a report that some members of the audience thought it was a publicity stunt for the movie (interactive entertainment was how I interpreted it) and could totally understand why.

Real life was definitely a distraction factor in the film.

I also found myself offended by some of it. I won't go into details for spoiler sake, but one scene was NOT ENTERTAINING, while there were several STUPID "do this to advance the story" actions.

You are right that we can't let these people rule us. As for Spider-Man, I loved it, I was so happy to see Gwen Stacy. Still, though I think the ending of Dark Knight Rises was almost perfect.
