5. Actually, In Regards To AMT

AMT is more impacted by the Deduction side of things. I've seen folks with high income have no AMT, while middle class clients did.

AMT is a byproduct of High State Tax Deduction, Real Estate Tax & Mortgage Interest, among other things. This bill is going to resolve AMT by essentially eliminating all those deductions. VIOLA!! No AMT.

urban poor voted for Hillary. It is also a fact that the rural poor tend to be far more conservative along Christian evangelical lines as well. They also support republicans like Trump and Pence. I think the OP’s point is fine as it points to the fact that these people in poverty or the “working poor” in rural areas (especially in red states) DID vote for Trump, called him the “blue collar billionaire” (barf), and are therefore supporting/allowing this appalling tax bill to happen. Also, when questioned, the majority of these Trump voters didn’t know what the “death tax” actually involved, and they believed they would be affected.

I know a lot of retired Democratic voters who live in trailer parks. It's the only way they can afford to live in a blue district, so they do what they have to. Two sets of of them sold their homes due to not being able to afford the rising property taxes on them after they retired. Others wanted less maintenance. I've known other Democratic voters and activists who were rural who also lived on acreage in rural areas and lived in manufactured homes. It's offensive to them to always be lumped in with RWers by people who want to look down their noses at less wealthy people.

Actually, lots more people are having to downsize in order to afford to retire. Which often means living like someone other, more elite, people sometimes want to sneer at to make themselves feel bigger.

But, hey, it's ok to stereotype and hurt peoples feelings if it's not your demographic being hurt, right?

This is offensive to every person who doesn't live up to your preconceived image of a Democrat. Some excellent Democratic voters and activist live in "trailer parks" to make ends meet. Many more live in manufactured housing of one kind or another.
