Which is why I'm not enthusiastic at all about Dems taking the Senate let alone the Congress or Presidency moving forward.

That ruling from the Supreme Court ahead of 2018's election concerning gerrymandering will tell the tale. And we know that the court IS 5-4 right. Also, nothing's stopped thuglicans from voter-suppressing Dems. The voting apparatus all across the country is old, easily hackable and the ruskies will no doubt be diddling around in our 2018 elections. Whose to stop them? NO ONE. Finally, friends say that I'm too pessimistic, telling me that in a wave-election where people are MAD as HELL and not gonna take it any longer, and if enough of us come out and vote, all of the cheating thuglicans plan on doing can't hurt. They then say, look at Virginia. Virginia is but ONE state, and they have a Dem Gov. in Ralph Northam coming in and also a Dem. Lt. Governor. And, Northam's filling his cabinet out down there in Va. with some great people from what I've seen. A state that's been trending purple. Good signs down there.

However, look at Pa. Wisconsin and Michigan, states which Hillary lost by about 77,000 or so combined votes. THEN you look at the voter suppression and gerrymandering going on in a few of those states. thuglicans can easily adapt to a cheating for windage strategy no matter how many of us Dems come out to vote. You know, get rid of 200,000 votes here or 300,000 votes there. Make votes disappear because they run almost everything--from collecting votes to tallying them up. Look at what happened in NC, and something always stays happening to Dems in Florida and Ohio thuglicans KNOW how to lie, cheat and steal. WHO knows what the ruskies will be doing as it relates to helping out their 'buddies' in 2018 and 2020. Whose to stop them? IF voting was fairer, then Hillary would be president now. It wasn't, and she's NOT president thanks to GOP dirty-tricks (Voter suppression, gutting of the voting rights act), russian bots--and the ruskies in general.
