any guesses on sentence for flynn?

my guess is zero days in actual prison, 2 years of probation.

keep in mind that he (certainly appears to be) cooperating and providing evidence in a larger investigation and (b) martha stewart only served 5 months in prison after her conviction for making false statements *and* obstruction *and* conspiracy.

It depends on how forthcoming he is. The sentencing could be months away and if Flynn flips on Vinca Dec 2017 #7

but it doesn't much matter. point is, flynn had some basis for a deal; stewart did not.

if stewart got 5 months for 3 convictions, it's hard to see flynn seeing much prison time for only one *and* cooperating in a larger investigation.

i can maybe see one month on the theory that he shouldn't escape prison time altogether, but no more than that. and even then, maybe just house arrest.

on balance i still think only probation.

considering how many other charges could have been brought, i dont think he gets off w no jail time.

his deal, there's no way the prosecution won't ask for the whole 5 years. Plus, it's a sure thing they've got a filing cabinet full of additional charges ready to file if Flynn doesn't give up the goods.
