Looks like Susan Sarandon is gonna get her tax cut...
Plus oil drilling in ANWR, millions losing health coverage, personhood for fetuses, and whatever else right-wing lobbyists are scrawling in the margins.
This might end up challenging the Iraq War for the top spot on the list of the Green Party's greatest accomplishments.

3. I'm honestly not so sure
Because I think Susan Sarandon (and Cornel West, for that matter), are genuine believers and genuinely well-meaning. "Fraud" implies intent. Susan Sarandon and some of those like her (but not not all) are just pathologically privileged and fantastically misguided.
They should know better. So fuck them. But I don't think they're self-promoting frauds. |

4. I don't agree. Every one of them are attention seekers. They knew perfectly well that trump was a
racist, sexist, bigot, and yet they still pushed the LIE that there was no difference between republicans and Democrats. Cornel West actually came around on Bill Maher's show an admitted that Trump was far worse that Hillary. As far as I am aware the others not only do not admit that, but they have doubled down on their outrageous false equivalencies, all in an effort to spew their delusions about this nebulous revolution. Stein and Sarandon have doubled and tripled down with their continued spewing how if Hillary was President, we would be in a war by now, and Stein still maintains that Russia had no involvement in spite of what has transpired.
That is NOT well-meaning. There was intent to encourage people not to vote for the Democratic nominee, and spew the LIE that the Democratic nominee was worse than trump. Not only did they know better, but they wanted the results that transpired in 2016, and they expressed a perversed sense of satisfaction, believing their revolution would now occur. What they will rightly be remembered for is influencing thousands of people to NOT vote for the Democratic nominee, and by doing so helping create what we have today. I won't even dignify them as progressive, because NO REAL progressive would do actions that help propel a racist, sexist, bigot into the WH. They can't wash their hands clean and say they bear no responsibility for what happened. That was Ralph Nader's line in 2000 This is the DU member formerly known as still_one.

6. But wait...Trump's election was supposed to bring about "the revolution" quicker, right?
![]() She has to be the single most self centered, morally superior and insufferable liberal I've ever had the misfortune to meet. This planet couldn't take one year of Trump, let alone four. Wouldn't it be great if all her wealth was suddenly wiped out, and she'd know how the rest of us live. I absolutely despise her and her ilk. |

9. Thanks to posts like this...
she will get more TV time on political shows. I love Ms. Sarandon as an actress, but she is a political dilettante. Can't you find a more worthy adversary or is this the weight you box at?

14. Tell it to Bernie - he made her a campaign surrogate
Put her onstage at rallies, etc, then never ince condemned her, or his platform committee pick Cornel West, when they actively worked against Dems and, in Susan's case, flat out said Trump winning was preferable.
Sanders made them the voice of his movement, then didnt do jack shit when they helped the GOP. |

11. It is easy to be a political gadfly when you are rich.
Sarandon, like Stein, is a political gadfly. For them politics is just a way to ego trip. They don't understand or care that political outcomes can be very, very serious for most people, especially the most vulnerable people. Elections have consequences. I tried explaining this to many left-wing "never Hillary" types but I just got called a shill and a promoter of lesser evil-ism.
