Here's a Bible quote you'll never hear from the RW or GOP.

Isaiah 10 1-4

10 Woe to those who make unjust
laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, 2  to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. 3  What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? 4 Nothing will remain but to cringe among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

1. Thanks, sinkingfeeling, great find..

I'm printing this out to read to the Bible thumpers in the family when they praise Mango Mussolini at the Christmas gathering. I'll wait until I hear something like my wife's thumper nephew, who refers to the Orange Maggot by saying "I kinda like the guy".

2. Even middle class folks who only have to worry 8 hours a day about money instead of 24

like most, will be severely harmed by the tax bill.

But, I do understand that the koch bros dont have enough money.

3. That only applies to real christians......they do not believe in god nor heaven and hell

real Christians show compassion and empathy without someone telling them how they should act

4. I do not like to quote OT to

Christian fundamentalist.

I'd rather go to the Red Letter Bible and quote Jesus and his actual words that are in red letters.

The Beatitudes are what Jesus preached..

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12. Conservatives take the last four (starting at 'pure') as totally applicable to themselves.

Irony/hypocrisy/both?

5. Don't forget Matthew 19:24

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."

6. The right doesnt care about what the Bible preaches.

It’s something to hide behind when they screw up so they can say things like “only god can judge me”. Or “ I spoke to god about what I did”, so frustrating.

10. Problem is that when these Republican shit-bags are

cringing among the captives or falling among the slain, WE are also going to be slain or captive.

They are dragging us down for the sake of their parasitic billionaire donors.

And I'm burning with furious anger at them because they are fucking up everything good about this country.
