Her campaign sneered at what it called the "lesser of two evils" argument, deprecated the differences between the two major parties (or occasionally suggested that maybe the Democrats were even worse than the Republicans), and pulled more votes from the Democrat than from the Republican.

That's pretty much the entire history of Green Party presidential politics in a nutshell.

Whether she was a traitor to the USA is a separate question. I personally don't like the promiscuous application of the label of "treason" to everyone we dislike, and I can comfortably criticize Stein without that term, but that subject has been discussed enough elsewhere. Right now I'm thinking only about the Greens.
