Trump will 'take care of' N. Korea by unilateral action if necessary: McMaster

WASHINGTON -- US President Donald Trump will "take care of" the growing nuclear threat from North Korea by taking unilateral action if necessary, his national security adviser said Sunday.

H.R. McMaster made the remark on "Fox News Sunday" after North Korea launched what appeared to be its most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile last week.

"The president is going to take care of it by, if we have to, doing more ourselves," he said. "But what we want to do is convince others it is in their interest to do more."

Trump remarked after Tuesday's launch that "It is a situation that we will handle" and that "We will take care of it."

But this rhetoric is sounding a lot like when the Bush Administration was taking the first steps toward invading Iraq.

I have a multilingual class currently that consists of four Chinese and one South Korean student. We have been discussing recent events.

I'll see them at 8:00 tomorrow morning, as usual.

That's what I'm worried about. Trump is a clear and present danger to America, but he's even more of a danger to folks in South Korea. He's going to get hundreds of thousands of South Koreans killed, along with tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers, because he's incompetent and overwhelmed by the task at hand. He should go back to bankrupting his own businesses, and leave the real work to those who are qualified, like President Obama and HRC.

I never, ever thought I'd say this, but George Bush seems competent when compared to the clown in the White House. I'm not sure if I'm more scared or sad that our country has come to this.
